Washington DC Hop-On-Hop-Off Open-Top Double-Decker Bus Tour

View the sights of our Nation's Capital aboard a new open-top double-decker bus. This tour operates as a hop-on, hop-off tour that encompasses 25 stops throughout Washington. Enjoy the luxury and comfort of these new buses with the added benefit of a TWO-DAY UNLIMITED USE ticket!

This tour will cover the major sights of Washington DC in an approximate two-and-a-half-hour circle. The on and off flexibility can make the tour last all day FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS by visiting monuments, museums, and shopping and dining facilities. Create your own tour by choosing your stops.

Tour may include courtesy hotel pick-up and drop-off at listed hotels FOR 9:00 AM TOUR DEPARTURES ONLY. Children ages 4-15 qualify for the child rate. Children under 4 are free.

PLEASE NOTE

Open-Top Buses do not operate on July 4, the date of the Marine Corps Marathon in October, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day. This tour may not be available other days, or schedule of departures may be changed due to road closures or special events in Washington.

Hop-on-Hop-off privileges are valid for two consecutive days.

Hotel courtesy drop-off service departs from Union Station between 5:45 and 6:00 pm and guests must check in there no later than 5:30 pm to take advantage of free drop-off service.

The Tour

The Open-Top Bus Tour features entertaining and informative narration. If you choose to ride the entire loop, the tour lasts approximately two and one half hours. If you're new to Washington, one option to consider is to ride the entire loop to get a good feel for what you will want to go back and visit as you hop-off and hop-on at various stops on the loop.

In a full day on the Open Top Bus, you can make approximately 5-6 stops to visit many, but not all, of the following attractions: Union Station, US Capitol, ESPN Zone, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Chinatown, Spy Museum, Ford's Theatre, Hard Rock Cafe, White House (Photo Stop), Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, Washington Harbour, Georgetown, Embassy Row, Washington National Cathedral, National Zoo, National Aquarium, DC Visitor's Center, Washington Monument, Holocaust Museum, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, World War II Memorial, FDR Memorial, Mall Area, National Air and Space Museum and the National Gallery of Art.

Some federal facilities are closed on weekends and holidays; some require timed tickets resulting in extended waiting in line for tours. No timed tickets are included in the tour price.
